One Pot Kielbasa Sausage Skillet Pasta

 So I came across this recipe on Facebook. Someone had posted it and said they had made it and they really liked it. And I LOVE when something is recommended instead of trying it first and hating it. SO I decided it looked super easy being a one pot recipe that I had to try it. I did change up some of the ingredients but I think mine is better of course ;} You could definitely customize it to you or your families likings as well. Next time I might get a little crazy and add mushrooms. Because I truly believe mushrooms make everything better lol I know that's strange to say, and I don't care ;]

This incredibly cheesy pasta dish easily comes together in less than 30 minutes in one skillet - even the pasta gets cooked right in the pan!

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 (12.8-ounce) package smoked Kielbasa sausage, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 (14.5-ounce) can roasted diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or milk
  • 8 ounces penne pasta or any favorite pasta [uncooked]
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups shredded colby and monterey jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add garlic, onion and sausage, and cook, stirring frequently, until sausage is lightly browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Stir in chicken broth, tomatoes, milk, peas and pasta; season with salt and pepper, to taste. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat and simmer until pasta is cooked through, about 12-14 minutes.
  •  Turn off the heat and add 1/2 cup of cheese and stir until all melted and well blended top with remainder of the cheese. Cover until cheese has melted, about 2 minutes.or longer to thicken sauce.
Even my month old daughter loved it
 This was so good, my husband literally told me 6 times while eating it how much he loved it ;}
This would be such an easy recipe, even for my non cookers out there ;}

Chicken salad

OMG THIS IS SO GOOD
My mom started making this within the last few years. But seeing that I lived all the way in FL I had never tried it. Until I moved back to VA and lived with my parents while my husband and I were looking for our house to buy. My mom and I were seriously eating this daily for a few weeks lol I know this is probably a typical chicken salad. But I always thought I wasn't going to be a fan of a "sweet" chicken salad. I have always loved my savory Chicken salad. But after trying this I fell in love ;] So I would definitely say to try it if you have never had a chicken salad this way before. I love that it is so different than my usual chicken salad ;} So here are the few ingredients needed

Grapes cut in half

Sliced Almonds

Roasted chicken

Mayo

Salt and Pepper

Add ingredients together and mix. Use whatever amounts you prefer, there is no science behind it ;]
Viola that's it....

Now I LOVE LOVE LOVE Hawaiian bread, so I have mine on a Hawaiian roll if available. My mom prefers hers plain, just eats it with a fork. It is also really good on crackers ;]

Y'all Enjoy

DIY Lemon Sugar Scrub

This Lemon Sugar scrub is so simple. When I was trying to come up with something homemade to put in these adorable little glass containers I thought of this. I had these containers left over from Christmas gifts two years ago that I used to put hot cocoa in and a chocolate dipped spoon attached, It was super cute!!  Well this year I wanted to make something for my Sister in laws. So I made these for them with super cute wrapping and sent them to Pensacola, FL for their Christmas!! So here is what you will need.....

3/4 cup            White Sugar

1 tablespoon    Lemon juice

Natural Teeth Whitening

I know this picture can look a little crazy...< So Here me out..... lol Yes, you will be putting activated charcoal on your teeth to whiten them. But, trust me. It works!! I will post a few of my close friends and family members before and after pictures below. All of these are just after a 5 minute scrub!

First step is to buy activate charcoal, any brand is fine. This is what I found on amazon.

Click the ad to the right to find it on amazon >>>>>>>>>>>>>

Break the capsule in the bowl and use your wet toothbrush to scoop the powder up and start brushing. :}

 Swoosh it around in your mouth to also help with bad breath.

It leaves your teeth feeling extra clean white. Activated charcoal removes staining caused from coffee, teas and cigarettes. This will work better, cost less, and is all natural in comparison to store bought whitening strips. It wont have any extra chemicals that are found in your store bought strips.

Here are some before and after pictures of me and my friends ......

So far everyone that has used it has seen a difference after the 5 minute scrub. But I recommend making this a weekly habit to get your teeth whiter and to maintain the whiteness once achieved. I hope y'all will try it out..
